Lamar ACM

Pictures from various ACM events in the past few years have been uploaded to the web server.

If you know of anyone who has pictures of ACM events or spring banquets, please ask them to send us a copy of those pictures so that we may put them on the official ACM website.

Right now it is just a directory dump with little organization. When the Drupal image gallery module is set up then it will be much easier to navigate the pictures.

The Spring Banquet is Friday, April 4th, 6pm - 9pm, 8th floor of the Library. The tickets are $15, see Donna in Maes 57. For more information visit the forum.

We will be visiting NASA on Saturday, March 22nd. There are limited spots available, so it is first come, first serve. The following requirements are listed:

• $15 per person
• Must be an ACM member
• Must reserve by e-mail by Wednesday, March 12th. Payment is also due by this date.
• Include if you REQUIRE a ride (first come, first serve on available seats)
• Include if you HAVE a ride, and have extra seats available (some gas expenses will be paid for those carpooling)

Hey guys! We will be having a LAN Party Friday, February 29th from 6pm until 6am. $10 for pizza and drinks! Upstairs in the Maes Commons.

I have been asked about the NASA Trip for this semester. At this time, I will set a tentative date for Saturday, March 22nd.
 
This trip will cost $20 per person until said otherwise. We need at least 15 people for this rate.
-  Within 1 week, I need everyone interested to e-mail us at acmlamar@gmail.com.
-  Please include if you REQUIRE a ride. I hope to not have to rent a vehicle, since I don't know if it will be possible.
-  Please include if you HAVE a ride, and will have extra seats available.

We have had problems with our e-mail system for the past couple of months resulting in a large number of people not receiving their e-mail confirmation.

If you have created an account and did not receive an e-mail, please use the request new password form. This will send a temporary password to the address you used to register. You may change it after you log in.

The ACM is selling red roses for Valentine's Day, only $4 each!

Roses are available for pre-order until Monday February 11th. If you would like to pre-order to gurantee you get what you want, send an e-mail to acmlamar@gmail.com with:

• your name
• phone number
• number of roses
• the time you can pick your order up in the Setzer Center (between 12pm - 3pm on Valentine's Day)
• Your choice of card size: 2 x 3, 4 x 5 [folded], or 8 x 5 (half sheet) for a larger order
• A customized message that you would like to put on the card

We will send you a confirmation e-mail to verify your order.

If you don't pre-order, but you still want a rose. We will be selling them in the Setzer Center on Valentine's Day from 12pm - 4pm.

View our upcoming Activities. 

There will be a LAN party in the upstairs commons area of the Maes building on Friday, November 30^th from 6pm until 6am. An entry fee of $10 gets you pizza and drinks all night long.

Some of the games we will play are:

• Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
• World in Conflict
• F.E.A.R.
• Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
• ... plus any game that someone shouts out and sounds fun!

We will also be holding a classic gaming sub-LAN. There will be a few of us playing Diablo II and Starcraft throughout the night. If you have an old clunker, bring it on over and help us kill Diablo and slay some zerglings!

Also, there have been rumors of some Rock Band action happening that night. There are no promises, but if you hope hard enough it just might happen!

As always, you are always welcome to bring your console and TV over to the LAN and game it up. If you bring it, we will play.
