Lamar ACM

We have just upgraded the ACM website to Drupal 6.

This upgrade should make the website a lot easier to use and will provide some helpful new features such as:

• New text editor based on the Yahoo! User Interface Library. The YUI editor should be easier to use and more stable than the TinyMCE editor that the site used to use. If you do not like it then please tell us so we can change it to a different editor. There are a few kinks that need to be worked out such as image uploading and link errors.
  
• OpenID support. Now you can use your OpenID credentials to log into your account instead of having to use your ACM password.
• New Officers menu in the left hand navigation bar. This should allow you to post news and add new polls easily.

The picture gallery module had a few problems so it is disabled at the moment. It will be re-enabled after there has been time to fix it.

There is also a problem with uploading new pictures in the text editor. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future.
